How do I join?

Send us an email at acmw.rpi@gmail.com with the following information:
– Your first and last name
– Major of study and your class year
– Your ACM membership number (if applicable)
*We highly encourage that all members of our chapter also register as members of the nationally recognized Association For Computing Machinery Organization. Student registration can be done here at register. ACM Membership dues for students are about $20/year.

how do i become an active member?

You must attend a total of at least four ACM-W club meetings or ACM-W club sponsored events or a combination of the two, per year.

How do i earn points as an acm-w member?

Attending ACM-W sponsored activities and related events is highly encouraged. For each activity/event attended, you will earn points! Such opportunities include General Business Meetings (GBMs), company events, professional development events, and more to be announced throughout the year. Additional points are rewarded to those who invite others to events and actively encourage new membership commitment.

i want to join but i’m not sure i can make active member time commitment…

We welcome anyone with a strong interest in all things tech and computing to attend our club meetings and events, regardless of ACM-W member commitment. Although, if you are truly passionate about how we are empowering all genders in tech and computing, the more present you are, the greater your contributions to the ACM-W mission will be.
